YANKEES & TIGERS AGREE TO PLAYER TRADE:
After a bad go around with the Yankees in 1996 and 1997, starting pitcher Kenny Rogers will get another shot in pinstripes. The Detroit Tigers have agrred to send Rogers along with 3 million dollars in cash to the Yankees for AA prospect TJ Beam.
It was not a easy deal for the Yankees to make, with Beam being one of their best young relief pitching prospects. But with a shoddy pitching staff and a new GM in Boston who is looking to shake things, the Yankees need to get every edge they can get.
For the Tigers, this move will give them yet another solid young arm in the pen. With their young rotation headlined by Bonderman and Verlander, and solid young arms out of the pen wtih Zumaya and Colon, Beam should fit right in. Time will tell if this trade works out for either team.

VGML Opens its Doors Co-commissioners Gary Currier and Devin Scott after months of planing have announced the opening of the Virtual General Manager League. This league will be slightly different than other leagues across the OOTP nation. The use of scouts, managers, coaches and team doctors will be used. There may be a few bugs in OOTP 2006, but we will work around them. The goal of this league is to make it as realistic as possible, putting you in the general managers chair! This league will only be open to people that will be able to dedicate time to the league. Our goal is to make this a highly competitive active league. |
Just a quick note : This may not be a league for everybody . We will be using the scouting feature along with some rules that are not a part of the game, but will be worked around to incorperate into the game. We have a solid core of owners right now and just have to add more. Please pass the word out to other people that you know are good owners so we can get filled up. Please do not make any transactions as this is not the final opening file. And try not to do a lot of work on your teams as all of it will be erased.
