The 32-year-old Minnesota Twins center fielder nabbed American League Player of the Week honors today, after beating up on opposing pitchers last week.
Wilson's hot streak featured 13 hits--7 for extra bases--in addition to 5 walks, as he put together a .600 on base percentage and also scored 10 times.
Wilson is hitting .322 so far this season with 29 RBI and 23 runs scored. He has 39 hits including 7 doubles, 2 triples, and 8 home runs. | |
