The signing is great news for Minnesota, because players of this caliber are hard to come by. This season the 26-year-old Blanton has compiled a 7-9 mark, 5.18 ERA, made 24 starting appearances, fanned 106 batters, issued 42 bases on balls, tossed 144.1 innings and held the opposition to a .293 batting average. |
