Wednesday, August 1st, 2007: Twins Lock up Morneau with $46,800,000 Extension
Justin Morneau and Minnesota have come to an agreement keeping the first baseman in a Twins uniform. Reports indicate the deal is worth $46,800,000 over 6 years, and that a formal press conference has been scheduled for tomorrow.

Morneau has stroked 130 hits in 408 at-bats thus far into the campaign. He has banged 29 doubles and rifled 24 home runs. He has also registered 76 RBI and has a slugging percentage of .596.
