Carolina League News Article | |  | Monday, June 23rd, 2008: Super Swinger Baldor of the Indians Snags CARL Player of the Week Crown It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Carolina League, but last week José Baldor reminded everyone just why he's here, throwing up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Baldor rocked opposing pitching for a .368 average, 4 extra-base hits including 3 home runs, and 10 RBI to come away with the award.
His record so far this season: 66 games played, .273 BA, 60 hits in 220 at-bats, 5 doubles, no triples, 10 home runs, 35 bases on balls, 3 stolen bases, 35 RBI, 29 runs scored, and a .381 OBP. | |
