 | Friday, August 10th, 2007: Podsednik Fires Shutout in Blue Jays Win Speaking after the game, the Dunedin manager said, "Gerardo Podsednik had everything going for him. Controlled their bat speed, stayed down. He had it all. Masterful." Podsednik held the Brevard County Manatees to 2 hits and fashioned a fine shutout. He had 2 bases on balls and no strikeouts in the game. "We couldn't get anything going. He certainly had our number," the Brevard County skipper told reporters. This year the 20-year-old Podsednik has won 15 and lost 3, piling up 23 strikeouts and 50 bases on balls in 164 innings with a 1.81 ERA. Opponents have hit .186 against him. |
