He just cruised through their lineup, fanning 0 and walking 0 in a strong outing. "He was very efficient, and he hit his spots," his manager said. "He stayed down in the zone and stayed away from the middle of the plate."
So far this year Dorreen has made 18 starts, tossed 120 innings, struck out 30 batters, and walked 33. His record is 6-9 with a 1.65 ERA. "I really didn't have my best stuff today," he admitted after the game, "there's a lot of luck involved in throwing a no-hitter. People don't believe that, but it's true." Luck, or not, Garrett will go down in history.
