Tuesday, July 1st, 2008: Nothing Doing for White Sox! Shutout by Mark Prior
"Good pitching beats good hitting" is an old baseball adage. Well, good pitching also beats bad batting. In his postgame interview the Chicago manager said, "Mark Prior made us look real bad today. He was outstanding. He was down in the zone with all four pitches. Everything was sinking." Prior struck out 5, walked 2, and allowed only 4 hits as the Chicago Cubs whitewashed the Chicago White Sox.

Prior has started 16 contests so far this year, registering 1 win and 10 losses. He has chucked 104 innings, facing 456 batters. Of these, he has whiffed 54, walked 42, and plunked 0.
Tuesday, June 17th, 2008: Taveras of Houston Rips Chicago for 5 Hits in 5 At Bats!
