Tuesday, July 1st, 2008: Weeks of Brewers Snags National League Monthly Batting Honor
June's National League Batter of the Month trophy was claimed by second baseman Rickie Weeks of the Milwaukee Brewers. During the period he compiled a .443 batting average, drove in 36 runs, scored 28 times and had a .518 on base percentage. Weeks hit 10 doubles and sent 14 home runs soaring out of the park.

This season Weeks is swinging the bat at a .351 pace. He has socked 27 home runs, scored 63 times, while driving in 78. His on base percentage is .427 in 74 games.
Monday, June 23rd, 2008: National League Player of the Week No Surprise--Weeks of Brewers Wins It
Rickie Weeks of the Milwaukee Brewers was locked in all week, putting up Player of the Week-winning numbers as he bullied the National League pitchers he faced. He batted .778, sent 5 home runs over the fence, and accounted for 11 RBI. The 25-year-old second baseman also crossed home plate 9 times.

So far in 2008, Weeks is slapping the ball at a .370 pace, picking up 95 hits in the process. He has logged 44 extra-base hits, including 27 home runs, and has brought 74 of his teammates home. He also owns a .452 OBP thus far.

Rickie Weeks went on a hitting spree last week against National League pitchers and today copped the Player of the Week award. The Milwaukee Brewers second baseman peppered the opposition for 13 hits in 27 at-bats with 9 runs batted in and 8 runs scored. In the 7 games he played, he hit .481 with an on base percentage of .548.

Weeks has hit at a .347 clip so far this season with 66 RBI, 24 home runs, and 57 runs scored.
