Sunday, June 1st, 2008: Cleveland's Sizemore Snaps up May Batting Award
When Grady Sizemore stepped up to the plate in May, he did it with confidence, and today he was honored with the American League Batter of the Month award. The young Cleveland center fielder posted a .339 average along with 11 homers and 28 RBI. Sizemore also collected 12 doubles, 9 bases on balls, scored 29 times, and put up a .386 on base percentage.

Sizemore hasn't got it all figured out yet; he is still a developing prospect. Even so, he is putting up adequate numbers for a 25-year-old. Sizemore is hitting at a respectable .337 pace this year with 15 home runs and 44 RBI. He has rapped 22 doubles and posted an OBP of .396 while playing in 49 games.
